Week 12: Angel Accompanied by Classic Rock

I think I am hallucinating. I must be. I have been drifting in and out of consciousness after all. Certainly what I am watching in front of me cannot be real.

About half an hour ago a semi truck came barreling up the street with a “No Fear” sticker across the front windshield and some kind of snow plow rig attached to the front. I could hear some muffled rock tune blaring from within the cab. The truck stopped and idled in front of my store.

The zombies took notice of it and advanced toward the rig. The semi reversed a short distance, lined up with the advancing zombies and then with a rev of its engine, charged them. After 2 or 3 passes it must have disabled 2/3rds of the zombies.

The driver put the truck in park and emerged from the cab like some sort of red neck angel overburdened with weaponry. His classic rock theme song still blared in the background no longer muffled now that the door was opened. The singer screeched “Now you’re messing with a son of a bitch” over and over as my savior ran around with the biggest hand canon I had ever seen blowing out the kneecaps of all the zombies. After the horde was reduced to crawling on their bellies this red neck angel put on a rain poncho, some safety goggles and pulled a chainsaw out of his truck.

I screamed and waved my arms to get his attention. He simply looked at me and with a nod and a thumbs-up he cranked up his chainsaw and went to work.

Now as I write this I am watching him go from zombie to zombie stepping on their backs and decapitating them with his chainsaw. I guess I got my miracle.
