Week 15: A Page Out of the Book of Mike

I managed to remove the zombie threat from the Bryant homestead. I actually used Mike’s technique. I ran over what zombies I could in the driveway, then I started taking out their kneecaps with a new hand gun I acquired. I did deviate a little from Mike’s method though. Instead of a chainsaw I stuck with my tried and true shot gun for zombie head exploding.

I am happy to say that the Bryants are relatively fine and all accounted for. They are very hungry however. I gave them what I could from my stockpile and I am going out with Greg to scavenge some more. It feels good to help someone.

While we were out looking for food Greg shared with me something he had heard from a survivor who had passed through a week earlier. He said that the guy had been a doctor at a major research hospital. This doctor told him that not everyone who gets infected turns. He said that there is a very small percentage that become what he called carriers; they continue living as a normal human but they can spread the infection to others.

The virus or whatever it is mutates in these “carriers” and they develop unpredictable adaptations. The doctor told Greg about a patient whose saliva would turn anyone who came into contact with it. Another guy spread the infection like it was a sexually transmitted disease.

I hope to God this is all just a rumor.
