Week 22: Hello Nurse?

Shit, I lost Brenda. I mean, what was she thinking, wanting to make another fucking pit stop. We have more medical supplies than we know what to do with and I tried to tell her that but she wouldn’t listen.

We found a pharmacy and she went in to raid it while I watched the front door. I’ve learned that if there are any meat puppets on the inside she can handle herself.

About five minutes into it three zombies came scampering around the corner running straight for the pharmacy. I honked my horn to give Brenda a warning, and then I jumped out with my shotgun to try and lure them away from her. Two of them took the bait.

Taking on the zombies is becoming second nature now. I don’t even think about it. I positioned myself so there was an abandoned car between me and the two meat puppets. Then we danced around the car until I was able to get them to split up. I honed in on the faster one, got close and blew out its kneecap.

Once I had changed the fast one into the slow one I went for his friend. I didn’t even bother trying to slow this one down; I went straight for the head shot. I wanted to get into help Brenda as soon as possible so I didn’t take the time to finish off the crippled one.

I entered the pharmacy and all I found were the remains of the zombie that had entered ahead of me. Presumably Brenda had taken care of it, but she was no where to be found. There was an exit door in the back that had been left open. I am guessing that is where she went.

Problem is I don’t know why she took off. Was she bitten? Was she afraid there were more zombies coming? Hell, maybe she didn’t leave of her own free will, maybe the Chaperone kidnapped her.

Why did she have to fucking stop again? Of all the stupid reasons to risk your life, we did not need anymore supplies!

Honestly, I really like Brenda. Too much. But I can’t forget about Maria. Not yet. Not ever.

I want to find Brenda, but I have to rescue my son too. I’m going to look for her, but for how long? I am sorry to say but she is not my primary concern, Matthew is.
