Week 25: Things I Know

Right now Mike has all the cards. He has my son, he is leading this chase, and pretty much he is calling the shots. We have been playing defense and didn’t even know it. It is going to be hard to flip things around on him.

So let’s take stock of everything I know and don’t know about the situation. First, Mike is watching us. Not only watching but specifically setting traps for us, or at least for me.

And it would seem that Mike does not want to simply kill me. He knows how to use a gun and if he has been spying on us then I am sure he has had the opportunity to simply put a bullet in my head. Judging by the traps Mike has been setting, my guess is he wants me to meet the same fate as Caleb. He wants me to be turned.

Let’s think about destination. Although Mike still seems to be heading to North Carolina I can’t be sure that is his final destination. He may be heading that way simply because we are heading that way. Perhaps seeing me turned is his primary goal and that is it.

Also I have to figure out what is going on with Matthew. Does Matthew truly think I am dead and clinging to Mike as his best chance for survival? Or is Mike keeping Matthew as a prisoner?

If Matthew thinks I am dead then I have to let him know I am alive. If Matthew knows I am alive then he might try to escape. If Matthew is a prisoner, then the only way I can help him is to rescue him.

Awesome! You are leaving it open for huge story lines. Will it turn out that Matthew is a prisoner or staying with Mike of choice? Can't wait to see where you go with it. Love it Simon.
