Just around noon Brad came running back to camp screaming and jumping. Apparently the leader and his posse were on the move again. Brad had almost walked right in front of them while he was rummaging for supplies.
It’s funny how much you spread out when you don’t have zombies to contend with. Our camp had overflowed from the confines of the U-haul and took over the surrounding area. We had a cot, couple of lawn chairs, a small grill and several other things all strewn about the road and shoulder area next to our truck.
According to Brad, we didn’t have time to pack up so we left what non-essentials we had laying around. Unfortunately it will be confirmation to the leader that he is on the right path. Better that than having him driving right up on us, though.
So we lost some stuff, the leader will probably find it and know we were there, but I’ll be damned if I am not happy to be on the move again.
I just need to figure out what to do about the leader and his short bus before we make it to I-20. Don’t want to bring this business to the same place Matthew is.
