“In record time a vaccination has been developed for the Southern Flu. Trials are being held and the CDC is looking for volunteers. Those interested may report to their closest designated hospital to apply. Or you can even register online and if selected the CDC will be happy to make a house call.”
Of course there was no vaccine. They just needed test subjects to infect and study.
