Week 10: The Great Stay Hotel

I made it to Palm Bay and it didn’t take long to find the Great Stay Hotel. This had to be where Matthew and his class stayed. There is at least one person inside still because half a dozen zombies are thrashing about outside one of the rooms. They seem frantic and endlessly pound on the door and window. That can only mean one thing, fresh meat.

I guess it is up to me to save the fresh meat. I try not to get my hopes up that it is Matthew, but it might be someone who saw him and his classmates; someone who might know where they were headed to. Now all I have to do is figure out how to get rid of those six meat puppets between us.

The Great Stay Hotel is a single story facility with the rooms divided up into separate duplex style cottages that surround the rectangular parking lot. I believe ‘motel’ would have been a better description of this place, although to be honest I am not 100% sure what the difference is between a hotel and motel.

Regardless I can tell that the rooms are not an ideal place to hold off a zombie assault. The individual buildings are small, cramped, and can only be entered/exited on one side. Plus there doesn't appear to be easy access to the roof.

If I want to rescue whoever is in that room I will have to get rid of these zombies, permanently. I don’t want to lead them away and risk having them return while I am inside the room. It is bad enough I have to worry about new ones showing up. No, I will have to kill them or at least lock them up somewhere.
