I am on my way back north to Jacksonville and my son. I should be approaching the south wall of the Central Florida Blockade soon. I want to take a moment to remember Caleb and his father.
Caleb was a bright kid. I know he had lots of friends and I am proud to say my son was one of them. I am sorry that I could not do more to help him and deeply regret the way he left this world. His name was Caleb Grainger.
I did not know Caleb’s father before this whole thing started. I saw him once or twice at a band event, but I never made the effort to talk to him. That is another thing I regret. For the short time I did know him, he seemed like an honest and good hearted man. He saved my life and more importantly he saw my son to safety and for that I will always be indebted to him. His name was Mike Grainger.
