Week 18: The Advantage of a Journal

Well, I have been set free. Me and Branda both. Our captors had caught me writing in my journal and confiscated it. Someone got nosey and decided to read it. That and the fact that I had Brenda to verify my story was enough to convince our them that Mike was the one who stole my son and not the other way around.

Speaking of our captors, they call themselves the Savannah Coalition. They are made up of army, police, firemen, and just about anyone else who is willing to fight the zombies. They are what remains of any kind of government entity in Savannah and their mission is to protect the city by any means necessary. Justin is one of the Savannah Coalition's... I guess captains. He has promised to help us out with supplies for our task ahead. Guess they feel bad for locking us up.

Seems Mike left Savannah the day before we arrived. Apparently setting up roadblocks and setting traps for me must have slowed him down a bit. Justin said that Matthew had been with him and was fine albeit it a bit confused. It sounds like Mike is walking a fine line, trying to convince people that Matthew is his son while trying to keep that a secret from Matthew.
