Week 31: I-20 or Bust

We have started to make our way up I-26. Although the mail jeep is very maneuverable, I fear it may not be up for the road ahead. We spend more time trying to beat zombies off of our vehicle than we do driving. Brenda is pretty handy with her bat but there is only so much she can do.

I told everyone to keep an eye out for a good truck or van on the interstate that could replace the jeep.

And the prize money goes to Brad. He spotted an abandoned U-haul on the side of the road. The keys were still in it. Apparently some family was trying to evacuate somewhere and abandoned it. Still had all their stuff loaded in the back.

I put Brenda on guard duty while Brad and I unloaded it. In the process Brad found some tools and a cordless drill that was still charged up. We kept that and a few other things that might be useful, then transferred our stuff from the Jeep.

By the time we were done Brenda had added six more notches to her zombie kill count. She scratches a line in her notebook every time she kills a zombie. Guess it is kind of like her own journal.

Brad also found a picture of the family amongst their things. He suggested we hang it up to remember the family that provided us with this new vehicle. I thought it was creepy but Brenda thought it was sweet.

Whatever.
