Week 35: The Long Road Home

The I-20 interchange was just outside of Columbia, SC. We ventured near the city a little too close before we left. Parked on a high point of an interstate overpass we peered down into a sea of meat puppets. Thousands of them just tearing the city to the ground.

They must have started to catch our scent because as we sat there we watched a large mass of them begin to move toward the on-ramp. It was like a carpet of roaches moving all together with one thing on their minds… FOOD.

We took off in a hurry. Following I-20 west we decided the best route would be to cut down south to I-75 before we got too close to Atlanta. If Columbia was this bad, I don’t even want to get anywhere near Atlanta.

We just passed a sign that put Atlanta 155 miles away. I think as long as we stay 50 miles away we should be okay.
