Week 36: Augusta Georgia

We have to skirt the edge of Augusta which is not necessarily a small town in its own right. It will not be an easy task. Hopefully it is not like Columbia.

The question is do we try to go off the interstate and give the city a wider berth, or do we stick to I-20 and try to barrel through? The first option might be safer but slower. The second option could be faster but riskier.

I have Matthew with me now, so the urgency to get somewhere seems to have disappeared, but if we take too long we may find ourselves being overrun by a stampede of migrating zombies heading south for the winter.

For now we are going to play it safe. I think we are probably at the tail end of August right now (or maybe the beginning of September) so we should have a good four weeks at least until temperatures get consistently lower.

It looks like we will be hitting some back roads north of Augusta.
