Week 45: Message for Matthew

Matthew, I love you very much and I want you to know that I am not abandoning you. I am doing this for you, and God willing I will come back for you. I know this world is a terrible place to live, but trust me it is better than the alternative. I am sure Brenda will take good care of you and so will the rest of the folks on the ship.

I have been through some hard times since this whole thing started but being able to have you by my side for the last couple months has made every ordeal, every battle, every gut wrenching tragedy worth it. I love you very much and so did your mother. Some day I just hope you can forgive me for lying and leaving you. If I could think of another way, a way that would keep you safe, I would do it. Unfortunately I don’t have any other choice.
