Week 9: Fort Patrick on the Horizon

There are fewer zombies on this side of the blockade, at least in this area. I heard from one of the soldiers at the wall that there is a massive horde in the far south portion of the state. The Keys, Miami, the Everglades are all overrun with the zombies. There were huge numbers that made it south before the walls were put up. Even with the walls in place now, there still seems to be a slow trickle of zombies that make it through. I see them wandering in small groups as I approach Fort Patrick.

The sun is setting and I am just outside the Fort Patrick gates. This half of the base seems to have burned and is deserted but I can see a cluster of lights just on the horizon. I will wait until morning to approach, however. I don’t want to be mistaken for another zombie; I have been shot at enough already.

Question....are there any alligators left in the evergaldes to be a distraction to the zombies, (or potentially help you out with them)?? Also, where will he stay at night since he's outside the Fort's gates??

And where is his son?!?!?! lol

Approaching the fate of the son. Very exciting. I hope the best for our hero, however; remember as wounded come in an emergency area, that would set up would be on a military base, did the accept all injured or check for people wounded from bites?

L Kel: Alligators and other preadators would view the zombies as tainted meat, so they would not eat them. They may attack them for infringing on their habitat, however. Depends on how frustrated the alligators get. As far as sleeping, half the base is burnt but the residential area outside the base is still okay. He probably locked down and slept in an abandoned house. One with a nice comfy bed because our narrator is worn out.

Zachary: I got a littled confused with wshat you were asking exactly. If you want to make sure they check him for infection, then don't worry. He will receive a similar greeting as he did when he reached the south wall.

I've been waiting for word on his son. Glad we are getting closer to him. I hope it's good news for him.
